Department of History & Archaeology

The Department of History and Archaeology has been established with an objective to promote advanced study of History and Archaeology. The Department organizes field and on site visits for enabling students to acquire the first hand knowledge of related domains of knowledge. Only P.G. Course has been run by the department providing specialization in Archaeology and Ancient streams. The Department regularly conducts extracurricular activities for exposing students to Indian values and culture. The Department has organized the first National Conference on “Contemporary Issues in Indian History and Culture” and also edited a book on this theme. The Department has a vision to establish a museum of Science and Archaeology very soon
