The UGC-Academic Staff College of B.P.S. Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan shall organize 4-week Orientation Programmes and 3-week Refresher Courses in the following broad disciplines during the year 2009-2010. The courses will,b> tentatively be organized:

For the Orientation Programme: newly appointed lecturers upto six years of continuous service and all those teachers who require orientation for getting higher grade are allowed.

For the Refresher Courses: participation in the Orientation Programme is a prerequisite for admission. A teacher may be allowed to compete a Refresher Course prior to completion of an Orientation Programme. There should be a minimum gap of one year between two courses, though it may be relaxed if an adequate number of participants are not available or it is essential for the teacher to fulfill eligibility conditions for career advancement.

Part time/Adhoc/temporary/contract teachers, who have been teaching for at least three academic sessions in an Institution which has been affiliated to a University for at least two years are allowed to participate in the Orientation Programmes /Refresher Course to enhance their skills.

Lecturers working in the Universities and colleges that are included in the list of colleges under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, even though may not yet be fit under 12-B of the UGC Act are eligible to participate. It has also been agreed that the teachers of colleges which do not come within the purview of Section 2(f), but have affiliated to a University for at least 2 years are permitted to participate.


The Registration Fee:

Every participant shall pay an admission fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 500/- at the time of admission.

NOTE:

  1. The nomination will be accepted only on the prescribed proforma (copy enclosed), obtainable from the undersigned. If you require more copies of the prescribed application form, you may kindly get it Xeroxed at your end. Application form could also be downloaded from our website (www.bpswomenuniversity.ac.in).
  2. Since the dates of the courses are subject to change, the teachers should come to attend the course only when invited.
  3. Incomplete form will not be considered.
  4. Every teacher is required to present a seminar/research paper during the Refresher Course/Orientation Programme.
  5. Certificates of completion of the course will be given to those participants who attend the course for the full duration.
  6. TA/DA will be paid to the participants as per UGC rules.

I. Therefore, request you to circulate the above among the faculty members of your College/Department/Institute/University so as to enable them to apply through proper channel for the same at least one month before the commencement of the course. The teacher(s) finally invited for the course, may also kindly be relieved to join the course especially in view of the fact that the UGC has also made it incumbent on the part of the College/Department/Institute/University to relieve teachers selected for the course by making temporary arrangements by internal adjustments, if necessary
