Introduction and Brief History of the School
Kanya Gururkul Sr. Sec. School was established by Amar Shaheed Bhagat Phool Singh in 1936 to educate girls according to Vedic tradition as well as modern pattern. The main objective of this school was to establish all round development, upliftment and empowerment of women along with Indian traditional values. This institution is flourishing on the cost of holy blood of martyr Bhagat Phool Singh which was ultimately looked after by her daughter Padam Shri Subhashini Devi.
 Kanya Gurukul Sr. Sec. School was established with only three students and now 2100 students are studying in the school. School has Science, Commerce and Arts streams. Mrs. Sumita has taken over the command of this school as Principal on 1st February, 2010. Presently, school is grooming well under the direction of Mrs. Sumita (Principal). School has all eminent facilities like well equipped Science Labs, Geography Lab, Music Lab, Home Science and Computer Labs, Library, garden and playground.
By the God’s grace Institution has been transformed into university on 18.08.2006. The Vice-Chancellor Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal has not left any stone unturned and Dr. (Mrs.) Balbir Kaur (Registrar) is toiling day and night to uplift the level of the Institution.
